Check out what Michael Jordan averaged back when the league & rules were built around defense, and he was double & triple teamed nightly (Middle column)

It's only logical to think that in today's far more up-tempo style of play, lacking much defense at all, that's he's worth how many more points?

5?
8?
10+?

Not really
Average now is only about 4 points higher
Lets not forget offenseive players got away with more plenty of time too
How many times did we see Jordan shove guys off him?
Push off or use his forearm

Who knows how his game would also be effected by the way the 3 pointer has changed the game
Also depends on his team
Bulls basically structured their team around two top scorers and the rest was team play
Now days you got 3 or more sometimes which if it was the case would probably lower his points

MJ is the greatest, I don't think there is no one better than him.

Wilt played against stiffs for the most part

That is one era that TRULY cannot be compared to others
I think Jordan was the best but the difference in his scoring and more importantly his dominance would be little to no different
There is probably more talent than ever to be honest

Jordan not only scored but he won and won dominately.

6 championships winning 3x retiring coming backing winning another 3x and retiring. Taken to a game 7 once in all those championship years in any round.

Dominate defender also which hugely gets ignored. In so many seasons he was both the best offensive player and defensive player in the NBA.

Outside of maybe Giannis(and he has a long way to going on the championships) there isn't anyone that has come close to his winning and dominance on both ends.

Ehhh I kindly disagree with that

There has been no era who has had more superstars than when Jordan played and he had to go against daily and go through

Jordan
Bird
Barkley
Shaq
Ewing
Hakeem
Drexler
Malone
Magic
Kareem
Isiah
Dominique
Dr J
Pippen
Miller
Kemp
Stockton
D Robinson

Today there is less than a handful

We're talking SUPERSTARS.....not STARS

There is a difference many sports fans don't understand and think are the same

Many of those guys were at the end of their career and were not elite during Jordans years
And many like Drexler, Kemp and Miller were good but bothing special
Also Jordan and Pippen are on the list as Jordan can'p play against himself and Pippen either

Jordan didn't start winning til they were basically on their way out or out altogether

Pippen also was phenomenal in his own right

If Michael Jordan played today, in his prime or even slightly past, he would absolutely dominate. His game was so complete. He took whatever the defense was giving him and he had all the moves, everything from driving to the hoop, shooting mid-range jumpers, top-of-the-key jumpers, even the occasional three, so he would score a lot. Lead the league, for sure. So, I’d say about 40-45 ppg, especially if he trained specifically for the three, now that it’s the way the game is played.

What would Jordan do today is a tired debate, who cares? No one making any money off hypotheticals.

A better question is in 1998 when Jordan hit that shot over Russell and the Bulls won their 6th title, did anyone think nearly 25 years later that Jordan's kid would be fucking Pippen's ex-wife? That's a bizarre fucking story.

Imagine 25 years from now Steph Curry's kid is fucking Klay Thompson's ex wife?
